The circle of Love

When I was starting out as an actor in San Francisco I took all kinds of different acting classes and improv was a big part of that. My goal was to work in film and scripted theater, but I loved improv and I felt it gave me so much confidence and tools for other kinds of acting. Then I had an improv class that scared the crap out of me.

IT'S a place to be YOU!

Moving to Sweden from San Francisco seven years ago was a huge challenge for me. Leaving the community I had behind and not understanding the Swedish cultural codes, at times I felt like I lost touch with who I was. Creating an international improv community in Stockholm became my turning point. A community where I could express myself and also a positive place for others to be seen, supported and embraced for who they are.

We were invited to perform at TEDx Stockholm, so we created a special show just for TED. Naturally it sounded thrilling to perform a completely improvised TED talk since they are usually so rehearsed and polished. To up the difficulty we did it as a three some and took three suggestions from the audience that we had to weave into the speech. We think we performed the first ever improvised TED talk.
