It’s always so rewarding to see so many of our IT'S friends come out to Mixer/Class shows, Drop-ins, Student Jams, Thursday Night Improv and all the stuff going on in our community. From the foundation of IT’S, we always wanted more than a theater, we wanted a vibrant, fun community of people from all over the world with a shared passion.
And we’d love to create more moments where we can come together. So we are looking for IT’S friends / students who like organizing and want to be in charge of planning a few social events for our community. The events don’t have to be complicated and can be as simple as a potluck picnic in the park.
We’re looking for 2-3 enthusiastic people who want to be in charge of the social events until September. (Potentially longer). Do you think this sounds fun? Send us a message on email@example.com.
IT'S Sunday Social
During the fall we started a new tradition. Every Sunday after the drop-in classes, we meet up at Big Ben to have a drink together, socialize and maybe even play some games. The idea is to have a moment in the week where we always know we can go somewhere and meet some IT'S friends. We will have a Sunday Social every time there is a drop-in or student jam. Take a look at the drop-in schedule here.
Time: 17:15/17:30. You can always join us a bit later as well.
Location: Big Ben, Folkungatan 97
What to bring: If you want you can bring some games to play.
Our Improv Jams are the perfect opportunity to hang out and play with fellow IT'S Students and other improvisers. We can highly recommend joining these jams. It's a lot of fun and you learn a lot by playing with people from different backgrounds, classes and levels. Because we think it's important that you get the opportunity to learn from each other, IT'S Students only pay 100 SEK to participate.
After the Improv Jam we can join the Social Sunday! 🙂
Check out the schedule for the jams here.
The IT'S Student Facebook Group
We have an IT'S Student Facebook Group that we use to keep you up to date about things that are going on at IT'S. But it's not just for us; it's also for you. So do you want to share an interesting improv article or plan a fun activity for IT'S Students? Feel free to use the Facebook group! In the past students have organised birthday parties, Brännboll, Halloween parties and after works for our community. You don't need to be a teacher or intern at IT'S to post in the group, share ideas and organise social events. Go for it!
Not a member of the IT'S Student Facebook group yet? You can find it here
Get Involved: Internship Opportunities at IT'S
Want to intern at International Theater Stockholm? This spring we are looking for interns to help out with stage production and social media marketing. Read more below about our different internships and how to apply here.
We send out a welcome email to all students with all the information you need for your classes. In this email you can find the locations to the classes, contact info of all of the teachers, class show dates, information on students discounts and more. Can't find the email? Don't worry! You can find the link to the welcome email here.
Do you have questions about classes, shows, etcetera? Here's what you can do:
If you have a question, please check out our FAQ page first to see if you can find your answer there. Check out our FAQ page here.
If you still can't find the answer to your question, you can send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We check and answer emails about once a week, so don't worry if you don't get an answer immediately. If you haven't gotten an answer within a week, feel free to send us a reminder.
Contact your Teacher
Do you have an important question about your class specifically and it can't wait until the next class? In that case you can contact your teacher over mail or phone. In the welcome email you can find the contact details of the teachers.
We really appreciate your feedback and that's why we want to show you that we listen and that we think about it. Here we will share some of the feedback we receive and our response to it. Do you have feedback for us? Feel free to email us at email@example.com. We might not respond to all of the feedback, but we do read and consider everything.
"I'd love to have more Improv Jams"
There are Improv Jams about every 6 weeks. We started up these jams because we want to give you the opportunity to play with students from other classes to get to know each other and to learn from each other. That's also why we offer our students a discount. Right now we often have small groups for the jams. Offering more jams would therefor not be doable for us at the moment.
"It would be nice to have a place where we can easily find back information on classes and student events"
We've been thinking about a system to make it easier for you to find back all the information you need. That's why we've created this page. This page for everyone who's taking a course at IT'S to easily find back information about your class or upcoming events.* We hope it will give you a better overview. Thoughts? Let us know!
* We will keep on sending out emails as well and it's important that you read these to make sure you don't miss anything important.
