IT’S PRIVACY STATEMENT

1. General

We at International Theater Stockholm (“IT’S”) care about your personal integrity. By this privacy statement we want to inform you about how your personal data is processed.

This privacy statement applies to you who:

– Sign up for our newsletter

2. Data controller

We are the data controller for the processing of your personal data and is responsible for ensuring that the processing is made in compliance with applicable law. You find our contact details at the end of this privacy statement.

3. Processing of your personal data

We process your personal data in order to provide services and information to you.
The purposes are as stated below:

3.1 Administration and fulfilment of agreement

The personal data we collect or use: Name, personal number, telephone number, email address, address and payment details.

Why: We process your data to be able to administer the classes and send you information and updates related to the class you have signed up for. We also have the right to process your personal data for the purpose of defending, establishing or exercising a legal claim related for example payment disputes.

Legal basis: The legal basis for the processing is performance is contractual.
In the case of a dispute, we use legitimate interest to be able to process your personal data.

Retention: Your personal data is saved for the duration of the contract period and 24 months thereafter. Your data may be retained longer if it is necessary to deal with legal claims.

3.2 Marketing

The personal data we collect or use: Name and email address.

Why: We process your personal data within the scope of our marketing efforts.
If you wish to take part of offers and information, we ask for your consent. We ask you to subscribe to our newsletter when we send you information about the classes you have signed up for and on our website.

Legal basis: The legal basis for the processing for general marketing is legitimate interest when consent is not required by law. We assess that marketing is important for our business in order to get new students.

Consent as a legal basis is used when we send out our newsletters containing offers and information.

Retention: Your personal data is saved for the duration of the contract period and 24 months thereafter. If you have given us your consent to send you information, your personal data is saved until you withdraw your consent.

3.3 Fulfil our legal obligations

The personal data we collect or use: Personal data related to payments, such as your name and transaction history.

Why: We process your personal data to comply with our legal obligations under applicable law, e.g. in accordance with the requirements of the Accounting Act.

Legal basis: The legal basis for the processing is compliance with a legal obligation.

Retention: Your personal data is saved for as long as necessary to comply with applicable legal obligation such as e.g. 7 years according to the Accounting Act, counted from the close of the calendar year of the financial year to which the information belonged is concluded.

4. Where do we collect your personal data from

The personal data we process about you is the information you have provided to us via the registration form or newsletter order form.

In order to attend our classes, it is a requirement that you provide us with the personal data we need. If you do not provide us with personal data we are unfortunately not able to accept you as a student with IT’S.

5. Automated decision making

We do not use any automated decision making in our processes.

6. How long do we retain your personal data for?

We only retain your personal data for as long time as necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected for. You can find the specific retention periods from the processes stated in section “Processing your personal data”. When we no longer need your personal data, we remove the data from our systems, databases and backups.

7. With whom we share your personal data?

We share your name and personal number with ABF Stockholm as the the classes we offer are carried out in collaboration with them. ABF Stockholm will register you as a study circle participant at ABF. You can read ABF Stockholm’s data protection policy here.

We also use third parties such as an accounting firm L-G Palmér Redovisning AB to fulfil our legal obligations. We may also in certain cases be required to share your personal data with public authorities or other third parties in connection with court proceedings, corporate acquisitions or similar reasons.

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

8. Where do we process your personal data?

We process your personal data only within the EU/EEA.

9. Your rights

As the owner of your data, you have certain rights to your data. You can exercise your rights at any time by contacting us. You can find our contact details at the end of this privacy statement.

9.1 Access to personal data

You have the right to request an abstract from our data records regarding our use of your personal data. You also have the right to request a copy of the personal information being processed by us.

9.2 Rectification of personal data

We will at your request rectify, anonymise, erase or complement personal data that is inaccurate, incomplete or misleading. You also have the right to complement your personal data.

9.3 Erasure of personal data

You have the right to request that we erase your personal data if we do no longer have an acceptable reason for processing the data. The erasure will be dependent on certain circumstances:

(i) the personal data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected,

(ii) we process your personal data due to your consent, and you withdraw this,

(iii) you object to the processing of your personal data based on our legitimate interest and there is no overriding legitimate ground for the processing,

(iv) the personal data has not been lawfully processed,

(v) we are required to erase the personal data due to a legal obligation.

However, there might be requirements under applicable law, or other weighty reasons, that entail in that we cannot immediately erase your personal data. In such case, we will stop using your personal data for any other reasons than to comply with the applicable law, or the relevant weighty reason.

9.4 Right to restrict processing

We will temporarily restrict the processing of your personal data at your request if:

(i) you have requested rectification of your personal data and we are verifying the accuracy of the data,

(ii) the processing is unlawful but you do not want the personal data to be erased,

(iii) We, in our capacity as data controller, no longer need the personal data for the purposes for which it was processed, but you require us to retain the information for legal claims, or

(iv) you have objected to our legitimate interest for the processing and we are determining whether the legitimate interest overrides your privacy rights.

9.5 Right to object to the processing

You always have the right to object to processing of your personal data based upon a legitimate interest as legal basis, including marketing. If you object to such processing, we will continue with the processing only if there is a compelling legitimate basis for the processing that outweighs your interest, fundamental rights or freedoms. If you object to marketing, we will immediately cease processing your data for marketing purposes.

9.6 Right to withdraw consent

We send newsletters based on consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking on the ”unsubscribe from this list” link at the bottom of the newsletters or by contacting us, after which you will no longer receive information and offers sent via the newsletter.

9.7 Right to portability

You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and ask us to transmit the data to another controller. You only have this right when your personal data is processed by automated means and our legal basis for the processing is consent or the performance of a contract

9.8 Right to make a complaint to the data protection authority

You have the right to lodge any complaints regarding our processing of your personal data with the data protection authority.

10. Protection of your personal data

We have implemented a number of appropriate security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration and erasure. In the case of a security breach that may significantly affect you or your personal data, e.g. when there is a risk of fraud or identity theft, we will contact you and inform you of what you can do to reduce this risk.
